To maintain our high level of musical performance, we need your support. We would not even exist without our generous donors, dedicated musicians, and hard-working volunteers. You can contribute to the Orchestra in the following ways.
Donors
Our unique community Orchestra, as is true of all orchestras, is not self-supporting. Won’t you join the many donors/supporters who have given generously and send your gift? Every gift, no matter what the size, makes a difference!
The Northern Neck Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) organization, so each gift is tax deductible. Thank you for your support!
Musicians
The NNO is comprised of talented amateur and student musicians as well as a number of professional musicians. Players are chosen to fill out the instrumentation as needed and new musicians are invited to join the orchestra as vacancies occur. Our roster of musicians playing in the next concert is shown on the Musicians page.
If you play a musical instrument and would like to be considered for playing with the orchestra, please take a moment to tell us something about your musical background and your experience. You can send us information at president@northernneckorchestra.org .
The Northern Neck Orchestra has no formal audition policy, though you may be asked to play something for our conductor. You are also welcome to come to a rehearsal to get a feel for the type of music we are working on and how our rehearsals are conducted. Volunteers
We have numerous opportunities for non-musical support of the orchestra. Our volunteers assist with various functions related to mailings, tickets, advertising, and concert support.
