Tickets are now on sale for the Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2025-2026 season conducted by Music Director Michael Repper in his tenth season with the orchestra. The season features five concerts for the first time, including another festive holiday event, a Sunday matinee performance in January and a concert of music from the movies, showcasing the film scores of John Williams.
The season will highlight music by American composers as part of the nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, “America 250.” They include Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Florence Price, Augustus Hailstork and many other distinguished composers of great American music.

The opening concert of the season on October 4, 2025 will feature Louise Farrenc’s Overture No. 1, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Five Negro Melodiesand Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”

December 20, 2025
The holiday concert on December 20, 2025 will celebrate music of the season, including Christmas carols, popular tunes and classical favorites. Purchase tickets early for this exceedingly popular concert which sold out the auditorium the past two years. Tickets will not be sold at the door for this performance.
APPALACHIAN SPRING
January 18, 2026
The Sunday matinee concert on January 18, 2026 will include Amy Beach’s Bal Masque, Florence Price’s Adoration, Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Knoxville: Summer of 1915, with soprano soloist Alexandra Razskazoff, and Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. Razskazoff was a Grand Finals Winner of the Metropolitan Opera’s prestigious Laffont Competition in 2022.

The performance on March 7, 2026 will present Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5,"Reformation," Carlos Simon’s Amen!, Adolphus Hailstork’s Three Spirituals and James Johnson’s Victory Stride.

The concert season concludes on May 16, 2026 with a salute to music of the movies featuring the film scores of John Williams, whose works include Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
