Holiday Pops Concert
December 14
The Northern Neck Orchestra will perform a festive holiday concert of Christmas carols, popular tunes and classical favorites at 7:30 p.m. on December 14 at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, in Kilmarnock.
The concert will be preceded by a Holiday Reception In the lobby with Music Director Michael Repper beginning at 6:45 p.m. There will be no pre-concert talk. Due to limited seating, concertgoers are advised to arrive early. A section of seats will be reserved for season ticket holders.

The program will include three works by Leroy Anderson – Bugler’s Holiday, A Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s March and Russian dance Trepak from The Nutcracker, Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane’s Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Edward Pola and George Wyle’s It’s the MostWonderful Time of the Year, a medley of tunes from Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas and much more.
The concert again will feature a musical arrangement of the iconic poem by Clement Clarke Moore, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, narrated by Reverend Dr. Tyron Williams, the Senior Pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wicomico Church. Reverend Williams also will lead the audience in a Sing-Along of beloved Christmas carols. |
