MEET CHELSEA KAYE ANDERSON
NNO PRINCIPAL FLUTE & CHAMBERFEST WIND ENSEMBLE COORDINATOR
Chelsea Kaye Anderson is the Northern Neck Orchestra’s Principal Flutist and also an orchestral piccolo player. Based in Northern Virginia, she performs as a substitute musician with orchestras throughout Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, and Ohio. Chelsea is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory where she earned her master’s degree in Piccolo Performance under the tutelage of Erica Peele and Laurie Sokoloff. Chelsea also holds two bachelor of music degrees, one in Flute Performance and another in Music Education from Ithaca College School of Music where she studied with Dr. Wendy Mehne and Mary Kay Robinson. Chelsea is the creative director and studio teacher of the Northern Virginia Woodwind Academy. She resides in Falls Church, Virginia with her husband and two kittens.
